Pollen, Poses, and Parent Wrangling – Spring with the Sarmientos

Spring in Des Moines is STUNNING, and this year, the Sarmiento family seized the blooms to capture their cute little family during the Crab Apple Tree blossoms of Water Works Park. The Arie Den Boer Arboretum, renowned for its expansive collection of flowering crabapple trees, was the perfect backdrop for their family session.

Nestled within Water Works Park, the Arie Den Boer Arboretum boasts one of the world's largest collections of crabapple trees, featuring approximately 1,200 trees across 300 varieties. During late April to early May, the arboretum transforms into a vibrant tapestry of pink and white blossoms, creating a picturesque setting for family portraits.

The Sarmiento family's session was filled with laughter, playful antics, and lots of adorable moments. From chasing each other through the trees to sharing quiet moments, they were so cute. The soft spring light filtered through the blossoms, adding a magical glow.

The Sarmiento family's spring session at Water Works Park was so fun. Their photographs not only capture moments but also bring the family together.
