Choosing to capture this with maternity photos is a wonderful way to celebrate. If you’re considering a session with me, you might be wondering what to expect. I’m here to guide you through the process with care, so you feel confident and excited about your maternity pictures.

Starting Your Maternity Experience
From the moment you reach out, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and supported. I'll start by learning about you, your style, and any ideas you have for your photos. This helps me tailor the session to you and the emotions you want to capture.
You’ll receive helpful tips on what to wear, how to prepare your hair and makeup, and even suggestions for bringing meaningful props or family members. This preparation ensures your maternity photos feel authentic and personal.
What Happens During the Session
When the day arrives, we’ll meet at our chosen location—whether it’s an outdoor setting, your cozy home, or a studio with soft natural light. I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourself, and I will guide you through prompts and poses.
I encourage you to bring a few outfit changes if you like. Soft, flowing fabrics and neutral tones often photograph beautifully, but I’m happy to work with whatever makes you feel your best.
Throughout the session, I pay close attention to lighting, angles, and details that flatter your features. We’ll take breaks as needed, and I’ll share previews of the shots to get you excited.

Capturing Connection
Maternity pictures are more than just pretty images—they’re a celebration of life. I focus on capturing the moments: the gentle touch of your hands on your belly, the peaceful smile, or the laughter shared with your partner or children.
If you want, we can include your partner or other family members. These moments are what you’ll treasure.
After the Session: What Comes Next
Once your session is complete, I will select and edit the best images in your gallery. Trust me, I take hundreds of photos, you won't want to go through them all. I'll send a few sneak peeks after the session, then 3 weeks later you’ll receive a gallery where you can view and choose your favorite maternity photos.
Many clients love creating albums, prints, or wall art to display their pictures at home. I’m happy to help you select products that fit your style and budget.
Tips to Make the Most of Your Maternity Photography Session
Schedule your session between 32 and 35 weeks when your belly is beautifully rounded but you still feel comfortable moving around.
Wear outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Avoid busy patterns that distract from your bump.
Bring a trusted friend or family member for support and to share in the experience.
Stay hydrated and get plenty of rest before your session to feel your best.
Trust me as your photographer to guide you through the session.
Your maternity session is a celebration of you. With the right preparation and a photographer who cares, you'll love your maternity pictures for years to come.
