Mallory + Mark
Mid-October in Brenton Arboretum, in Dallas Center, Iowa was filled with bright hues of red, orange, yellows, and gold perfect for a fall photo session. Mallory and Mark met me near one of the park's rolling hills overlooking the main valley filled with plants and a small lake, safe to say the background was perfect.
They were down for all the fun prompts I threw their way, including a few lifting spins! While doing random prompts I love to make them discuss topics they wouldn't normally discuss. My go-to conversation prompt is to talk about your favorite sandwich and why it's your favorite, I tend to get a laugh or two out of that, this works great for slightly intoxicated groomsmen as well.
Running through the leaves for some pics doesn't seem all too conventional but if you want some cute candid moments. The ones they remember from the session, unconventional will always be to go to. Although these two weren't very shy in front of the camera, it's more common for others to feel embarrassed, in turn, I love to embarrass myself even more by exaggerating everything I want them to do.
I'm a little sad that fall is over and I now have to wait a whole year before seeing fall colors and getting to photograph people amongst the autumn scenery. Mallory and Marks session is definitely one of my favorites from the fall season!
